Goodwill offers JOB CLUB every Wednesday, a free service to the community that provides local job seekers with the resources needed to conduct a successful job search for FREE. JOB CLUB is open every Wednesday from 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at Goodwill's corporate headquarters in Maple Shade (2835 Route 73 S.). Free and unlimited access to Internet-ready computers for conducting online research and job searches; to local job postings and career fair information; and to phone lines and fax machines is available. Goodwill's employment specialists are on site for assistance if needed.
Q: I understand a law just passed in NJ that bans the disposal of TVs, computers, monitors and other items from landfills. What can I do with all my electronics?
A: You can donate them to Goodwill and be rest assured that they will be recycled properly. Through partnerships with Dell and Waste Management Recycle America, Goodwill can now accept everything from computers and peripheral equipment to TVs, VCRs, DVD players and more. We then dismantle, package and ship them to a third party asset recovery company where they are recycled. Beyond being green, these operations employ a local workforce of individuals with disabilities and generate monies to support Goodwill’s job training programs. Electronics donations are accepted at all of Goodwill’s donation centers as well as at designated municipality donation containers operated by Goodwill. For a complete listing, please visit

Goodwill will host VIVA Goodwill: A Sure Bet Fundraiser on Thursday, April 28th at Aloft in Mt. Laurel, NJ. Festivities will kick off at 6 p.m. This fundraising event will raise monies to support Goodwill's high caliber job training programs and career services that help prepare local residents with disabilities and disadvantages for competitive employment in the community. Festivities will include dinner, an open bar, dancing and casino games galore ranging from Blackjack and Craps to Texas Hold'em Poker. Goodwill Industries of Southern NJ & Philadelphia is proud to be associated with an incredibly inspiring film that just aired on PBS on February 1. For Once In My Life is an award-winning film produced by the Miami Goodwill about the Spirit of Goodwill Band. The band is comprised of very talented singers and musicians, all of whom have physical and mental disabilities, who are employed by the Miami Goodwill. They are “discovered” by Miami Mayor Manny Diaz and Emilio Estefan and invited to perform at the U.S. Mayor’s Convention in Miami. The film chronicles their journey from rehearsals to the big stage. In the end, the film provides an eye opening look at the tremendous potential of the more than 54 million Americans with disabilities. Anything is POSSIBLE. Last year, 325,649 area residents made material donations to Goodwill. We thank each and every one of you.
