Goodwill Industries of Southern NJ was founded in Camden, NJ in 1948 with a mission of helping local residents with disabilities and disadvantages get to work. This mission has remained constant over the past 60+ years and has spread across the Delaware River into the City of Brotherly Love. Goodwill Industries International officially assigned the City of Philadelphia to Goodwill Industries of Southern NJ in 1985. Today, Goodwill's presence in Philadelphia includes three retail stores and donation centers; a Commercial Driver's License Class-B (CDL-B) Training Program; and most recently a partnership with the City of Philadelphia to operate a Contracts Services Center that employs and trains ex-offenders .
